I just want to say that I started using Witty, and thought it was a fun site for people to express themselves.
I made the mistake of
posting some poetry on here, and sadly some of my poetry ended up being copied by people...
Witty is sadly no place for real writers
or people who write original quotes...It is no place to try to be individual
There are very young kids on here (in fact, I believe that's Witty's target audience)...who do not know how to be respectful or think for themselves
If you are a true writer, I would advise not using Witty as your outlet....things here are not protected. People here probably pass quotes around and share accounts ( it is a truly unstable environment)
I should have been more careful about what I posted...I have been bullied, mocked, and essentially driven off this site.
I have had people make fun of me for having anorexia....
Funny how some people on here have the nerve to treat me so disrespectfully,yet...you like all my poems (about my anorexia) and some of you attempt to take them from me?...
Well, let me just tell you, I never wrote about any of you guys..My poetry was not about you..in fact, all of my poems were about my eating disorder...which you guys have made clear that you don't understand, but you are not above reading my poems and trying to copy them?
By taking my poems, you took a part from me
I don't care how "moved" you were by them, considering the ignorance and immaturity displayed by people on this site, I am guess the point of all of my poems went way over your heads.....
Because this site is full of little naive children who basically live in la la land and don't know anything about serious things, the real world, being truly individual, art or poetry
Witty was a terrible experience for me...I did meet some nice people who actually understood what I was talking about...But unfortunately the negatives I experienced on this site outweigh the positives
People here have been rude and disrespectful to me...and I am sorry to leave the people asking me to stay, but no writer that cares about their work, would dare stay on such an unstable site after having their writing (esentially a part of them) copied....
People are greedy, they see pretty words and take them (why would I even write about any of you? you are all strangers to me.....)
Knowing that most people here failed to understand what most of my writing was actually about, is a disappointment to me, as a writer..It just means I came to the wrong place and shared my personal life with the wrong people
The people who respected me while I was here, thank you, and I wish I could stay
The people who were rude to me, and copied me, and some even had the nerve to make fun of my eating disorder....you are sad little children, and I am sure now that
I am gone, since you can't think for yourself, you will find some other poor unsuspecting person to copy and imitate....
Because we all know how copycats are terrified of being though of as unoriginal, yet....for them to sit down and actually think for themselves and write poetry, would be impossible
The lesson is this....Social media sites are not for everyone
I took a huge risk joining this site knowing I did not know a single person here and they did not know me...and sadly the thing that I feared, ended up happening
Some of my beautiful, very personal poems (the subject matter not intended for kids at all)...were copied
And I am not flattered that some people here are too dumb to think for themselves and decided to take my thoughts

So I hope people realize Witty may be fun for some people, but this site also has a very bad reputation of being full of immature, unoriginal people that judge way too quickly and run people off
