Prologue Part 1
“No She can’t have cancer!!”
“I’m very deeply sorry Mrs. Rathwell, but she has cancer. It’s quite odd though, we diagnosed her but we just don’t know what kind of cancer it is. It’s quite rare of what type of she has.” Doctor said with a worried tone.
“ Please Doctor, I’m begging you help my precious little baby”
“We will do as much we can do, but if her cancer gets worse…..she might not be able to survive. We can’t help if we don’t know what it is.” Rubbing his sweaty forehead.
She walks out the quiet room, leaving the doctor with a guilt in his heart.
8 Years later
“Hunny wake up, you need to take your medicine” my mother said with a soft smile on her face. The innocent look on her face with a hint of worries, makes me want to just hug her and tell her I’ll always be fine.
“Momma, how come the doctors doesn’t know what it is?” I asked
“I don’t know hunny, maybe you’re just special. Come on you need to get ready for your birthday party” she said excitingly. I held her hand for comfort, balancing myself carefully.
“I love you my little angel” she whispered in my ear. Hearing that from her made me feel like the sunshine of the world.
I put on my silky summer dress, with yellow flower patterns. My momma put fixed my hair with pigtails “I just love your hair, it’s so long and wavy” she said.
“come one, people are already outside waiting” she pulled my hand and walked me downstairs.
“Um momma….I haven’t ate breakfast yet” I said tugging her shirt, trying to get her attention.
“Don’t worry, the only people are coming is grandpapa and grandmamma, so as family we can eat breakfast.”
“What about the birthday party” I said confusingly.
“Don’t worry it doesn’t start till later” she said. When I heard her say grandmamma was coming, I was surely happy. I love grandmamma, she was always there for me she even took care of me while momma was at work.
Momma opened the door and greeted them. “HI mom” momma said hugging her tightly. Grandmamma ended the hug and carefully walked slowly to the door and a beautiful woman walked up behind her. “Clare, meet Monica. She’s my patient and I wanted to bring her along and meet you. She has a lot of things in common with you, so I thought you might get along.” Grandmamma said with a smile on her face. The beautiful woman looks prim and proper, with her curly long blond hair hanging loosely down her back. She too has an innocent look on her face, she looks so stress free but at the same time she looks like she has secrets behind those smiles.
“Scott come her and meet these nice family” Monica said. A boy came in carrying a football next to his side. He looks unhappy to be here, he tilted his head up and his face surely made my heart thumped louder. He has this gorgeous blue eyes that looks unbelievable gorgeous, it reminds me clear water. His darkish brown hair is neat yet at the same time messy, some hair is sticking up.
