So the good boys and girls take the so-called right track,
    Faded white hats grabbing credits and maybe transfers;
They read all the books but they can't find the answers.

    The real world does not
    start when you leave
    high school, when you
    can legally drink or when
you get a job. You have
    been in the real world
    your whole life.
    So live it.

Joking about rallpe in any way whatsoever is not funny.
Some peoples' lives have been devastated by it.
And then there are people who think it's funny to make innocent jokes about it.
    It's so immature.

I hate how everyone makes it seem
as if you have to go to college or
marry someone with a decent job
in order to survive in the "real world."
My mom is a single mom, was never
married, and barely got paid her
child support from my dead-beat dad
that I've met once when I was five.
She never went to college and never
wanted to and wouldn't change her mind
if she had a chance to go back and do it
all again. And she has a sh*t job in retail
where she works more hours and gets paid
less than she should even have to.
And I'm not saying we have a good life,
and that it's easy; but we're surviving.
You're not garunteed success by going
to college and getting a degree.
Even if you're more likely to get a good
paying job by going to college, it doesn't
mean that you're doomed if you don't.

I'm going to miss a lot about high school.
Not too many people say that.
I have gotten to know these people within the last four years,
There have been up and downs, but so many more ups than downs.
Most of these people know me.
    I love them. I'm pretty sure it's a two-way street.
They've seen me at my best and also during some of my rough patches.
My close friends have always been there.
I never really did get involved in drama.
I may have been shy most of the time, but I have slowly opened up.
Being quiet doesn't make you not gain the most of an experience.
I actually believe I have been able to see more of the smaller details.
We are all going out into the real world.
We'll lead so many different kinds of lives.
I hope success to all of my peers.
We say we'll keep in touch, but that hasn't always been true for me in the past.
I seriously hope to God it is this time.
I never really considered the entire picture until recently.
Ends are not the end of everything,
But the start of something new.
You do have a sense that suddenly appears and shows you the larger picture.
We have laughed, cried, been too silly, but have also known when to be serious, (most of us).
I haven't really changed, but I have found only a piece of myself.
    No one is perfect.
We haven't all gotten along or talked to another every single day,
But for the most part, it's been chill.
I have grown up in the last four years.
I'm going to use what I have learned for my future.
Maybe not all of the academic subjects, but the lessons on life.
    The friendships.
    Trust.
    Reality.
Reality hits you hard sometimes, but it's your attitude that makes it all work out for the best.
I wish everyone so much success.
    It's been great.
    Thank you.

You can drive at 16, go to war, at 18, and retire at 65. So who can say what age you have to be to find your true love.
