they kind of are. But there is like some technical difference in them, it's to do with how it's made and its texture I think

as a non english native speaker who learned her english on the internet..; I use both of them in wrong orders... I could easely make sentences with american and english words

some of these words don't mean the same thing in the english language people will be confused if u say lets say "i have a boot on the back of my car" they would think you are crazy

i know.. But I's say taxi instead of cab, but cookie insteat of biscuit, I'd say earaser, but also garbadge.. you see? I just alsways choose the one I like the most, what makes that I don't talk a real language
