true, I mean, I'm 12 and I hate it how some girls in my class are like " OMFG SHOULD I TELL HIM I LOVE HIM?" it annoys me. Come on, they don't LOVE eachother. When I say that, they answer "Of course you say this, you're forever alone! " XXDDD

I get a lot of crap for this, because I have a boyfriend, and I'm not 15,16,17
Everyone says "you're too young to have a boyfriend", I'm always like, "Its not like its gonna last forever, I like him, I want to spend my time with him, be happy for me." Mine is nothing like...."OMGEEE I'm gonna MARRY YOU!" Lol, no. Just no. I don't claim to be in love, puppy love yes, deep love...no. I know what love is, everyone has known, its just maybe the girl likes the boy sooo much that she's just...blinded I guess? I dunno, but I know my situation is nothing like this. I spend my time on him, because I want to. If its wasted, its wasted, it was worth the while.

I agree. I mean, I'm twelve, and I liked a guy this year, but later on I realized kinda how stupid and stereotypical that was. I wasn't really looking for a relationship with him, but I couldn't stop myself from liking him. It's kind of stupid to expect the person you like to want to date you at such a young age.

lmao, i'm 13 and i agree completely. i mean yeah, it's fine to have a crush or whatever. i do. but i don't want a boyfriend anyway, until i'm at least 14.

I find it hilarious how 11/12/13 year olds are commenting on this saying they know what love is. No. Actually. You don't know what it is. What you have at that age isn't love. Maybe to you it is but when you grow up you'll understand that its not.

it's just that a lot of young girls really seek that "love" and believe it's real but it's not, it's friendship, it's adventurous and everything and I don't say you can't have relationships, just don't think that's the real deal

I totally agree. I had my first boyfriend when I was in 6th grade. I legitimately thought I loved him. I'm 18 now and I laugh at my ignorance. My friends and I always had boyfriends throughout middle school, pretty much everyone did. We always said "I love you" even if we KNEW we didn't mean it. But when I was in middle school, we would date a guy for about a month, but never actually go on dates with him. We would sit with him at lunch, MAYBE talk to him on the phone, our friends would push us together or put our hands together. I think, for the most part, that's how middle school relationships should be. We had fun with our boyfriends but not too much fun (if you know what I mean haha). I don't see anything wrong with "boyfriends" when your in middle school, sometimes you learn stuff about relationships that help you later on, I know I did. I just hate to see when girls are completely consumed by the idea of having a boyfriend.

Somehow you're right. I get what you want to say. Having a boyfriend.. is fun. Flirting and teasing is fun , but they get too involved in this. And they'll get hurt in the end. They just wanna grow up too fast

Yeah exactly. It should be fun. I remember when my first boyfriend broke up with me, I cried in the middle of school, the next day, I was completely over it and I didn't have another boyfriend until the end of 7th grade and that guy, 6 years later, I still have an AMAZING relationship with. But I see so many people on Witty crying over an ex and I'm just like.. why waste your time? I saw a quote yesterday saying "I want to marry him, he's spending the night tonight, I want to have babies with him" and I'm just like, you're 13! Calm down. I'm 5 years older than that girl,and I would still not say that I want to marry someone. -__-

I don't really agree. You can't tell people how they feel..you don't know how people at 11 feel, well not all of them. 11 year olds can be in middle school...6th graders? Sometimes 7th graders in the beginning in the year. Sometimes peoples childhoods end early, people can take it from them..depression & cutting at 11 not tryng to be rude but you CAN'T tell people how they feel because you don't know there story or a thing about them..

I didn't tell how they should feel. I just expressed my opinion :) Is that illegal ? Kids at 11 shouldn't worry about such ridiculous thing as dating. :) They have a lot of time for this. :)

dating at 11? When I was 11 it was so much fun. I didn't care about relationships, boys or this kind of things. No. I was having fun , playing games outside and didn't worry about tomorrow. Life was fun at 11. People just wanna grow up so fast. They just don't appreciate their childhood, which is quite sad, if you think about it.

I'm really getting tired of people saying that nowadays you're judged more than you used to be. It's not true, at all. First of all, when I was 11, I was judged, and it bothered me, but I didn't let it control me. If 11 year olds can't handle how they're being judged, what are they gonna do when they get to high school and it's 100 times worse? People will ALWAYS judge you, despite your age, it's gonna happen, you just have to learn to deal with it. And you are damn lucky you're living in this generation. People on Witty always say that this is the worst generation blah blah blah. You wanna go back to the 50's? Women didn't have any rights. I would not even be aloud to say what I'm saying right now. Be thankful for what you have, learn to deal with other people, and realize that your generation is not the worst one in the world.

I agree with u. and honestly i dont care what others think about me but some people care too much. I am thankful. I just think that the judging starts the most here and follows uthrough life and that isnt fair to the people that cant deal with it. its just kinda sad

It's sad, but they all just need to learn how to deal with it because it's not going to get any easier. For me, judging started 8-9 years ago when I was in 4th or 5th grade. I remember being teased about my nose. But I just dealt with it and pretty soon, I got over it and it didn't really bother me anymore.

When I was 11 I was ugly. But I didn't care at all. Because I was young and I couldn't change myself :) I didn't cry over a thing I can't change. Why would I?

I agree and disagree you on that one. in Europe, we have an other school system, you have no middle school, bt the elemantery and high school are longer. I was fine when I was in the first school... but the second I got in high school I became depressed. I wasn't bullied, I wasn't anything. I didn't get my heart broken or had an awefull thing happened to me. I just saw war and kids in africa and mean people in school, not to me but... I couldn't take this world, eventhough I wasn't a part of it yet. you CAN face life at young age

I know what love is. It is not explained. And you don't know what you're talking about. Take it from someone of this age group's point of view- What witty describes as their society is just like ours. Even I get called a ,,. EVen i get judged, pushed around. Even we have the one clique in the grade who's the "plastics" as referring to Mean Girls. I'm not the only one in my grade who's purposely cut themselves, I'm sure of it. There's a taste of what I see. I rush this stuff to finally get it over with. Believe me, I know that any highschooler would trade lives with me. But honestly I've already realized that Middle and Highschool Suck and I only have about 8 months til gets real. So honestly, you don't know. Not to offend you, I'm just giving out my daily rant.

I am 13 but i agree with this...im too young. but ppl r telling me that hes gonna ask me out and im just thinking about this same quote....and how i am too young. I dont want to be heaartbroken at a young age. But we like each other. What else would we do besides date?
