First of all, Barbies don't determine beauty.
Second, you shouldn't be promoting obesity since it is a seriously unhealthy condition that many people have. It's not okay to be overweight. I mean, yeah, not everyone's a size 2, but there's a VERY big difference between not being a model, & being overweight.

I disagree. It makes it seem ok to become overweight, and i think if ou cant help it, its ok, but if people are fat from over eating, then i dont feel sorry for them. they got like that themselves.

no one's going to want to buy an over weight barbie..? that's crap. personally, i think it would be a good idea, but it's not right to be promoting obesity because of the dangers that are behind it. i have a friend who is obsese, she's the sweetest girl ever and people don't look behind her weight and get to know the sweet girl she really is. It bothers me when a few of you guys said "no one would buy an over weight barbie" that's like saying; no one will accept an over weight person. not to be a biitch, but that's how i look at it.

They should make a barbie that is more realistic. Obese? Obesity is dangerous, it's just as dangerous as having a eating disorder.

I don't think they should be premoting obesity. It's a kind idea, but:
1. Nobody will buy an overweight doll.
2. They'd have to make special clothes for it.
3. It's making kids think that it's great to be overweight when in reality, it's very unhealthy.
I don't think this is a good idea.

I understand that you want over weight girls to feel beautiful, but we dont want to promote obesity. I think they should make a barbie who is missing a limb, or is bald. So every girl can feel beautiful, not saying overweight people shouldn't feel beautiful, but there is a cure for obesity....

this is going to seem mean, but i don't get why people say that. promoting obesity in countries where the majority already is obese (america) isnt ok.. and yeah people of all shapes and sizes are beautiful, but someone obviously doesnt respect their body if they let themselves get to the point where they are so over weight that their lives are at risk. (like 300,400+) this is just my opinion, please dont tool on me ;c
