Well, I do think she should have had you explain the project before she failed you--had you explained it, she would have given you a better grade. But, I do get where the F is coming from. The point in the project was to show others what you like about yourself and give them a representation of you. To use such degrading adjectives, though you may not have meant it that way, may have come off as attention seeking and self centered. Maybe you do not like what you are, but try to turn it around. The best artists, after all, know how to find beauty in everything...

I don't agree with that either, its a horrible thing to do. However, if it was an assignment to represent yourself maybe she meant that you were saying you we're those things even though you are beautiful. I still think it was wrong to fail you though, its whats on the inside that counts. Not how beautiful something is.

Your teacher was probably really freaked out...those are really bad things to say about urself and i know it might be what you think of yourself but it was a school assignment and the assignment wasn't to put yourself down. (:

omg ur teacher is so mean. my art teacher made me draw a pic of what we think life is! so i took a peace of paper and colored it black. then i handed it in!!!! she gave me a "F"!!!!!!!
she was like u put no effert in that paper. i said its black because i have no idea what life is u can not see whats ahead so its like the color black!!! she still failed me!!!!! teacher have no idea what true art is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, you tried to represent yourself with an black & white mask with horrible words. He failed you by saying it wasn't beautiful and he's calling you beautiful because that's what represents you!! Don't be stupid, you should understand that!

If it was supposed to represent you and you didn't make it beautiful so he failed you, that means he was implying you ARE beautiful. So nope, not wrong. Really sweet. :)
