best friends
are supposed to love you, care for you and always trust you, the thing is no one can live up to the expectation. I am either lying or being two-faced. I just want to live in a world where everyone tells the truth and nobody talks about each other behind their back.

High School
Chapter One
It was the first day of school. My older brother, Dillon, and I were waiting at the bus stop at 7:15 a.m.“Ugh. I should NOT be up this early” I complained.
“Skylar. Stop complaining. All I have heard from you today was about how tired you are. Shut up”
“Um…Dillon, it’s your fault we got stuck taking the bus anyway. If you would have came home by curfew we would have had like a gazillion extra hours of sleep”
“It would have been 10 minutes…”
“Whatever.”
The bus finally pulled to the bus stop. I walked up the three steps and looked around to see if I knew anyone. Nope. I decided to sit next to my brother. He is a senior at CHS high school and the quarterback of the football team. He also thinks is sooooooo cool, which can get very annoying.
15 minutes later I took my first steps into my sophomore year at CHSHigh School. I looked at my schedule; Locker # 1254. It took me a while to find my new locker, but when I finally did I had no idea who was next to it. He had Justin Bieber hair, only in dark brown. From what I could tell, green eyes and he was tan. I figured I wouldn’t mind having a locker next to him. At all.

Chapter Four
I walked out into the foggy afternoon. I started to walk towards the direction of Miranda's house. Her parents both leave for work at around this time. I reached for the front steps of her private house. I looked to my right and dug into the soil of an undeveloped plant, in search of the hidden key. I held up the key & inserted it into the lock. The smell of roses filled her house as i opened the door. It was vacant. I texted Miranda stating I was staying for the night. I instantly got a text back from her saying: okay bbygirl :* i heard what happened & im coming to stop myself from smashing his head into pieces. How that get around so fast ? i thought. Five minutes later Miranda opened her door to find me laying on her leather couch. "Kat !" she yelled and came over to me. She sat down and put my head in her arms. I cried and tried to get all my emotions out as she was holding me tight, close to her chest. She said, "Shh mama, shh" as i calmed down. Finally i layed quiet on her chest & looked into her eyes. I was just so relieved i had a friend like her, reassuring, confronting, understanding & loyal. We held our stare for about a minute. Her light brown eyes glowing, her black hair sticking to her face, her bangs just above her eyes. I sat up next to her, still admiring, when all of a sudden, i kissed her.

I am so selfish. I don't appreciate all that I have.
I'm just wanting more. I don't know why I am like
this. I don't want to be this selfish, arrogant, and
stubborn. I have a lot. A big house, a penthouse,
a luxury apartment. Cars. Money. Adorable pets.
Various gadgets. A great education. A good dad.
A good family. A best friend. Why am I not alright?
Why am I not satisfied? I'd rather give someone
