Dates of Our Lives
Chapter 25
He smirked, “Come on, we’ve been over this, you’re amazing, I’m the one who doesn’t deserve you.”
I blushed, “Don’t say that babe, you know that that isn’t true.”
“Yeah it is, Soph,” he replied matter-of-factly.
“No it’s not, but whatever, I think it’s time to eat so you wanna come into the dining room?” I answered, still blushing.
“It’s time for dinner William, Hannah, Sophia, Garrett, Dakota, and Oliver! Soph, Hannah, you wanna get Zinnia and Zander out from their cribs for me?” Mom asked us.
Garrett interjected, “Mrs. Wheeler, can I help get the twins? Because of my little brother, Charlie, and all I think I can help Soph out with Zinnia and Zander.”
“As long as Hannah doesn’t mind, knock yourself out Garrett,” Mom joked.
Hannah replied, “Oh, I can assure you I don’t mind.”
With that, Garrett and I walked up the stairs. I was going to get Zinnia from her pale yellow room with pictures of bunnies on the right side of the hallway. Her room was right next to mine and there was a hallway connecting our rooms, so that whenever she cried in the night, I could calm her down. Zander, on the other hand, had a light green room with on the walls and his room was connected to Hannah’s room with a miniature hallway so that if he needed help in the night, she could help him.
I woke up Zinnia and got her out of her crib. I dressed Zinnia in a cute little outfit with ladybugs on it. Zinnia has really curly light brown hair and hazel eyes. I walked out of Zinnia’s room, just as Garrett was walking out of Zander’s room.
He changed Zander into a green striped polo shirt and jeans. Zander has wavy light brown hair and the same shade of light brown eyes. He looked so adorable, ok so both of them looked adorable, but Zander looked especially cute. I gave Garrett a quick peck on the lips and smiled.
“What?” he curiously asked.
I smiled, “You’re just amazing with kids, you know that?”
“Well, like I told your mom, I had to do this with Charlie too, because he’s only three so I had to do this only about a year ago,” he answered.
We walked downstairs and put Zander and Zinnia in their high chairs. Zinnia’s was lavender with white polka dots and Zander’s was light grey with navy stripes. Zander’s high chair was placed to the left of me and Garrett was going to sit on the right of me. Zinnia’s high chair was placed to the left of Mom. We switch off who feeds Zinnia and Zander, but today it was me feeding Zander and Mom feeding Zinnia. Even Dakota feeds them sometimes, even though she’s only ten.
Witty screwed up spacing, sorry
