Adam and I decided to keep our relationship a secret from everyone except Amanda, January, and November. That didn’t last long though. When we were all out at breakfast everyone must have noticed something different. We were trying to play it cool but we just couldn’t stop staring at each other. When were walking to the park March, September, October, June, July, February, April, May, August, and even Mom, confronted me at they all started talking at once.
“Whoa! One at a time people.” August was the first to speak.
“You’re totally in love with Adam.” Uh-oh.
“What?” I started getting nervous.
“Oh come one! Don’t even try to hide it you definitely like him.” This time it was October’s turn to speak.
“Umm… Well… Uh, excuse me for a second.” I ran over to where Adam was talking with his dad and my dad.
“We need to talk.” I really hope he isn’t mad that I blew it. Well I mean it’snot the end of the world or anything but it would have been nice to have a week or two before anyone knew.
“Yeah, I think they know.” How does he know they know. I noticed everyone had stopped and started staring at us so I whispered.
“How did you know they know?”
“You’re dad and my dad were talking to me about it, and your dad threatened to kill me if I hurt you.” I laughed he wasn’t mad.
“What should we do?” I asked.
“Give them what they want.” He smiled and leaned down and kissed me right there in front of everyone. I was a sweet not too long kiss but it still made me feel like I was charged with electricity. There was a collective gasp in the background and squealing. He pulled away and we both turned away.
“Does that answer all of your questions?” it was a rhetorical question but my May felt the need to answer.
“No. I still have one. How long have you guys been together? Because I totally couldn’t tell until this morning.”
“That’s because we just got together last night.” This was getting kind of awkward. Especially since Mom and Dad have weird expressions on their faces that I can’t read. Are they mad? They all eventually stopped staring at us when they realized there was nothing else and we continued on into the park. Adam held my hand.
