we'll be alright.
*chapter 8*
She poured out the story to me so fast I could barely understand what she was saying until she said those four words with her huge green puppy dog eyes. 'Can. I. Move. In.'
"Of course honey! Let me just call Stacey and make sure it's okay." She nodded as I pushed 2 on my speed dial.
"Hey, Stace, uh well here's the thing - ambergotinabigfightwithhermomandwantstoknowifshecanmovein?" I thought that if I said it fast enough that she wouldn't question me.
"Of course! You know Amber's like family! Oh and by the way, your brothers, father and I will be home from Bora Bora in 2 months, you can take the Amex card and go shopping wherever you guys want to. Take the guestroom across from yours and redecorate it however Amber wants. She's welcome to stay as long as she would like. If she wants, we can adopt her if things are that bad." Oh, so that's where everyone went... Bora Bora, without me. Like usual.
"Okay, thanks Stace!" I fake sounding happy because really, I hate Stacey. She only likes my dad for the money he's made and she's only 4 years older than me. Like really dad what the hell were you thinking. But her letting Amber move in and become my potential sister, definitely scored her some major points with me.
"Amber you can move in! And Stacey said we can adopt you! Let's go get the card and we'll go buy you stuff for your new room and go shopping cause tonight, we're going out and turning your little frown, upside down!" I screamed in her face. She perked right up and smiled from ear to ear.
"Thanks, Court, I love you soooo much girl!" She bear hugged me as we ran inside.
"Can we shower before we go out? I'm all sweaty." I giggled as she nodded. I cranked up the volume on my shower radio and quickly showered. I got out, and walked around in my towel for about five minutes while deciding what to wear. I picked out a thin blue long sleeve shirt since I was a little chilly and threw it over my head and it slid down my tan stomach. I slipped my legs into gray Hollister shorts and tied them tightly to fit my tiny waist. I stepped into a pair of Tory Burch flip flops and threw my hair into a messy ponytail. I covered my skin with concealer and bronzer and threw on some eyeliner and chapstick. (http://www.polyvore.com/shopping_outfits1/set?id=35988190)
"I'm ready, Amber." I said when she walked into my room.
"Okay, I think I'm gonna shower too, though. Can I borrow some clothes?"
"Sure sis!" I giggled and threw her a chocolate colored towel. She came out five minutes later smelling like berries. She took my navy shirt with a heart that ties up in the front showing her thin stomach. She put sweatpants and flip flops on and put some earrings in as did I. We grabbed our phones and I grabbed my car keys and we left to go to Home Depot.
