This I believe in love. In the broad sense, that love is life. Not directly nor is it always seen that way. Love can be very simple or very complicated. Love is as simple as eating your favorite food or as complicated as an addiction. Love is different for everyone and everyone has their own view on the “right kind”. I know I’m 15 and that I’m not full of smarts or wisdom and I’m told everyday that I don’t know what I’m talking about. But I believe in love. Love is behind miracles, memories, happiness, and hope. Love is like a dandelion. In the beginning the bud, promising, full of hope with a little hope of a miracle of a courageous weed poking out braving the frost. When the dandelion is fully bloomed and smiling up towards the sun it is happiness. Full of life, energetic. As time passes it withers, love could to and thus the dandelion puff is full of memories. Still just as beautiful but just not as lively, fragile maybe. Love is strong, stronger than just the flower. It is the roots, the roots that refuse to come out, that’s where the love is. The part that never gives up. Love is something you can’t give up on, you have to be like the roots. I think that’s the problem these days, we’re so…moldable and not resistant. We need to look to a problem and say I’m going to hold on, because “I love you, I’m not letting you go” if we’re in love we need to stick it out. Love helps us make it through every day it works in little almost invisible ways most of the time. I hear that people don’t believe in love and I think to myself and say love believes in us. love will be there for us no matter what, there will always be something there that you love and it might not be known to you yet. Love will always be hidden under a veil because if it was easy life wouldn’t be an adventure. But love can be horrible to us, or at least that’s the way we see it. But its just like life it can’t always be beautiful because we’d become ungrateful and rainbows are only pretty with rain with a canvas of a black storm behind it. The truth is, if we stay strong through the hurricane there will always be a rainbow and flowers on the other side.

its a year,tommorow,well in two hours.a year, can you believe it?a year since we all walked into school and found out you,the soccer star, loved by everyone i knew, was gone, forever.a year since we cried and hugged the strangers of our school.a year since goshen church filled with over 700 people mourning you.a year since i talked to your brother for the first time in years.i say this every single time.but it broke my heart to watch us all fall apart.your mom,your dad,bobby.it broke me in half.we all tried our best to help but there wasn't much we could really do...it was done.it couldn't be taken back by any of us.
so many people have tried since you mike in the last week alone 3 have.one died.the other i saved.and the other just woke up from a coma..and you taught me it really is as easy as 1,2,3. and if i wanted to help someone it wouldn't matter if they really wanted to, i feel helpless now...almost hopeless.i want to be the savior but what if i can't.i don't think i'd be able to live with myself.
thank you mike for teaching me the outs of life.i hope that you are beyond happy wherever you are and whatever you're doing with that gorgeous smile of yours.we miss you.and we love you.
