"He is bad news..."
Chapter 5
I woke up in a room that wasn’t mine. The sun’s rays made my lashes open slowly. I tried to move but I felt being blocked by something. I frowned before taking a look at the rest of my body. One arm was wrapped around my waist on the blankets, making me scowl. I lifted the blanket up slowly, before realizing I’m completely naked. Last night… The party… Everett... Without second thought, I turned around. He was sleeping next to me, peacefully. It took me a few minutes to realize what was going on but…
Oh.
My.
God.
I had lost my virginity to Everett Randers.
Sh*t, sh*t, I thought. What the f*ck am I doing now? I removed his hand from me and jumped up, searching for my dress. I found it lying on the floor, along with my underwear and Everett’s clothes. I quickly dressed up and wore my shoes, when something woke me up.
“Where are you going?”
I froze. I looked up, noticing that Everett had woken up as well and was now sitting up, looking at me with curiosity.
“Home” I retorted, standing up and straightening the skirt of my dress.
I turned the other way as he stood up and put his clothes on. I was about to leave, when he grabbed my waist from behind and pulled me closer. My heart was racing inside my chest. I knew I had to go right away, but I couldn’t help but feel attracted to him. He laughed and I could feel the smirk in his voice.
“Come on” he whispered. “Stay a little longer”.
I pushed him away. “No”.
“What happened? Last night you seemed fine” he murmured.
“What?”
“I still remember how you were screaming, come on” he murmured.
I felt so fed up now. My blood was boiling and I swear, if I didn’t know how arrogant he is, I would have slapped him.
“I was f*cking screaming Everett because you took my virginity!” I screamed, clenching my fists.
He stumbled. “What?”
“That’s right. That’s what you did! Are you happy? You stole my first kiss…”
He shut my mouth close with his hand. “I can’t believe you still remember this sh*t”.
“Of course I remember” I muffled against his palm.
He let go, pushing me to the door. “Go”.
I stood still for a couple of minutes, before storming out of the room. Millions of tears poured down my eyes, as I found my way to the basement. Lots of girls and boys were lying on the floor, most of them still sleeping. I passed by them and exited the house quickly, wiping my eyes with the back of my hand. I looked up. Of course. Sienna had left last night. I had no way to go home unless I walked. I didn’t even know where Jessica’s house was, though.
I sat down on the grass and brought my knees up to my chest, crying with sobs. What have I done? Now Sienna’s gonna hate me, along with Everett. Oh, yeah, Everett already hates me. Joy. This is wrong. This is totally wrong.
I looked up at the sky, waiting for something. I really had no idea how the hell I was gonna go home. All I had to do is waiting. The only thing I could do, anyways.
I felt someone tripping over me. Oh, come on guys. I’m not that small. The guy looked back and I noticed I had Everett in front of me. Again.
“What are you doing here?” he hissed, sending me a death glare.
“I can’t go home” I whispered.
He knelt in front of me. “Why not?”
“I came here with Sienna and she left. I have no idea how to return” I mumbled, looking at my trembling hands.
“Come on” he stood up, holding out his hand. “I’ll take you home”.
I looked at his hand unsure. “Are you…?”
“Yes, I’m sure” he stated, helping me stand up. We walked to his car, neither of us saying a word. He opened his door and slipped inside his car, letting me do the same. For the rest of the drive, we remained quiet. The car stopped. He looked at me, his face softer now.
“I’m sorry about earlier” he murmured.
“It’s okay” I said, looking away.
He touched my chin and made me look at him. I bit my bottom lip, feeling extremely close to him. “I honestly didn’t know you were a virgin”.
I laughed bitterly. “Come on, I’m sure you felt it last night”.
“I was f*cking drunk, I thought you were Cassandra” he defended, pulling his hand back and looking away.
“Cassandra? That cheerleader? We have nothing in common, how could you mistake me for her?” I asked, amazed.
“I had three bottles of vodka, what did you expect?”
“What now?” I asked him all of a sudden.
“Now… We’re gonna forget and go back to our lives”.
“I don’t wanna forget” I claimed, giving him a shy look.
He reached up and grabbed the handle of my door, opening it. “Good day, Evelyn”.
My eyes snapped at him, before storming out of the car. I ran to my house and knocked on the door, knowing I had to deal with my parents’ angry faces.
Damn you, Everett.
