I hate that none of us see how lucky we all are;
if you're high, middle, or working class, which likely you are, you are the
top one-percent richest in the world.
The world.
How lucky we are to have rights, especially for females.
We're incredibly lucky to have a roof over our heads,
food on the table,
to be able to have education.
In North Korea, if you say anything bad about Kim il Sung, Kim Jong il, or Kim Jong Un,
you're either killed or sent to a death camp, along with your entire family.
If you try to escape North Korea or succeed, your family is sent to a work camp to die.
You have to pretend to be happy all of the time, and you can't protest, or they take you away.
If you don't live in their big city, Pyongyang, you're starving.

In 2010, it was estimated that 925 million people were starving in the world.
In 2009, there were 1.5 billion people in the world who couldn't access electricity, and who knows how much more it has gone up to?

But yet, we complain about our parents,
or about how that boy in our math class doesn't notice us,
or how our friends don't pay enough attention to us,
or how school sucks and we can't wait to get out.
Before we complain again,
Let's think about how lucky we are.
