you think cheerleading isn't a sport? you try lifting a girl that heavier than you above the air and watch her twist into prezal-like shapes and fall back into your arms. you try being lifted high in the air while smiling and being confident even though at any moment you can fall down and break something. you try being tossed in the air and having the trust that your bases will catch you before you hit the ground. you try running and sweating through the cold and breaking bones but smiling through the routine. you try projecting your voice high enough that a whole crowd can hear you. you try learning a routine with twists and tumbles in one day with perfection. do all that and more, and tell me cheerleading isn't a sport.

i totalllly agree with you, girll. i'm not a cheerleader anymore, but i did it for about 6 years and yesss it's probably one of the hardest sports i've done besides basketball, haha. so everyone who doesn't think it's a sport should try it sometime and see for yourself (:

I know exactly what you mean! I mean I dont play cheerleading but one of my friends taylor does and shes at like cheerleading camps and weight lifting all summer and im like "whoaa.." i just hate it when cheerleaders think they are better then everyone else? that is what bugs me..like some girls at my school think they are just because they made the cheerleading squad? I'm like "uhh i dont really care?" lol
