Michele Quincy was not
at all a bad person, and truly did not deserve the fate she was
given. She was simply a teacher at a local high school. English,
seniors, late twenty’s, married, no children, only child,
5’ 10’, enjoys reading The Hunger Games, has
powdered milk in her coffee. Nothing more.
But she did have a terrible fate, one that no one would ever truly
deserve. One can kill gods and not deserve the one she had. The
story begins on a morning. Michele wakes up, and finds that Mike
has already gotten out of bed and is now shaving. He sees Michele
walk out of bed, and quickly puts extra cream on his face and lips
hoping that he will avoid receiving a kiss from his spouse.
After she finishes her morning routine and puts some powdered milk
in her coffee Michele goes to work. When she arrives she checks in-
with some kind of electronic key- and goes to her classroom and
gets ready for period 1, or was it two? She finds herself thinking
deeply on her day. Finally she comes to the conclusion that it is
period 1 or 2. She is sure of it. Or maybe it is 5.
At that time the students come in the room and Michele comes to the
conclusion that the school system is terrible, for it is period 8.
She doesn't even know there is a period 8, and she has this job
for five years. But she recognizes the students and starts to
teach.
Then a student starts to whimper. It is a boy. Name: Phil
Johnson… that is it. That is all she knows of him. At first
she feels bad at the little information she knows- or doesn't
know about this boy, but no one else does, so she doesn't care
too much of this when he cries.
Michele then walks over to him. He holds his tense hands over his
face as if he will rip it off. She shows him the door ready to send
him to the counselor, but before she does she says to him
“They say that burdens must be carried until they are put
down.”
Then something happens, he stops crying. He looks up, and says
“What have you done?”
At that moment the phone rings. Michele picks it up. She is sent to
the office because Mike is there and needs to talk to her. Mike
doesn't have a job, or at least a good one. Michele does. So,
as a result Mike needs to talk to someone to get ideas to have a
job. His job is to work in law. He is quite good at it, but hates
to argue. Not surprised, that he probably got fired at that job,
she walks down the hall to the office and has the thought
red. Maybe because there is a woman with multiple stab
wounds. We would never know why she thought that but she
doesn't care too much since she is being attacked by a man. As
she tries to run to the door she is pulled back. This man is now on
top of her with his hand around her throat. Michele is overwhelmed
with pain.
Now all the pain goes away, she thinks she is dead. But she sees
that two men are fighting. It is Phil. He and the other one are
now, literally, trying to kill one another. Phil then grabs a pin
from a nearby board and-
Writer's notes:
My editor and I agree that violence is not good for the youth
of America. So I will now summarize want happens in the last couple
of paragraphs so that I can minimize the violence of this story.
Phil came in and saved Michele.
They ran away from the school and found that Mike is dead. Phil
explained that people made a federation, known as They, make
sayings such as “the good die young” which is what
happened to Michele. As she was good to Phil, they decided to kill
her. Phil was once a part of this federation as a hit man. He did so
to raise money for college. But he left them, and was spied on by
this federation to make sure when he left he wouldn't tell what
they know. After some time he found out of what happened and
started to weep. (this was mentioned in this story)
The federation, They, sent another hit man to kill Michele, not
only because she was good but also good to Phil, but Phil stopped
him. They then went into hiding because Phil took one but then They
will sent three. He knew that it would be three because bad things
happen in threes.
After a while Michele and Phil found where the federation
lies.
I know that violence is bad for the youth of America, but
I’d hate to have the climax under the Writer’s Notes,
and in italics. Even though the majority of the youth of America
read “The Hunger Games,” a good book but violent. Shame
on Suzanne Collins for the violent story.
