His Daughter

One

Hailie Jade. Once upon a time, seventeen years ago, I was born.

Actually, it’s my birthday.

It’s also Christmas.

My “sisters,” Alaina and Whitney are the first to greet me this morning, followed by my dad’s half-brother, Nathan.

“Happy birthday!” they all scream. I almost feel like it is too early to be this loud. “Merry Christmas!” Whitney hollars as the others give her a tense look. Great to start off my birthday with a headache.

“Thanks guys..” I say sleepily. Whitney bounces up and down on my bed next to me, “Well come on! Don’t be tired.. We all get presents today!”

“Where’s Dad?” I ask, particularly asking Nate.

“In the studio,” he replies, disappointing me. Just like him to be working on my birthday. On Christmas. A day important to all of us. Nate must notice my facial expression, because he starts to try to cheer me up by lying to me, “But he said to tell you Happy birthday and that he hopes you have the best day. Oh, and that he loves you.”

I sigh. Whitney grabs my hand and starts to lead me downstairs where Mom is waiting. I’ve always resented being born on Christmas, for I am not that religious, but my mom always puts a smile on my face like Whitney can.

Alaina smiles widely and hands me what she got me for today. I open it carefully and slow, still being tired. She got me a beautiful ring, probably paid with Daddy’s money. It’s the thought that counts. I thank her.

Next was Whitney. She give me a stuffed animal that she’s had for a while and has played with plenty. “Are you sure? I thought you loved Bubbles,” I say, holding the stuffed dolphin. “I do, but I love you more.” I take her into a hug and thank her.

Nate was too lazy to even wrap his. He hands me something I never thought I’d see. “ONE DIRECTION TICKETS!?”

“Yep! You and me, pal.”
I thought seeing those tickets was the highlight of my day until I saw what my mom got Nate and I.
Backstage Passes. I almost faint. I love One Direction and I’d be meeting them. Though my dad is Eminem, I never actually met One DIrection. I’ve met Justin Bieber, though.

“THANK YOU!” I scream as loudly as Whit, Alaina, and Nate screamed “Happy birthday” to me this morning.

“Awh, I LOVE YOU GUYS.”
My mom chuckles and says, “Let’s continue with the rest of the gifts now.”

A/N: So new story! What do you think? I'm writing it about Eminem's daugter, Hailie. <3
