Chapter
two
"I want you now."
I tilted my head away, exposing my neck. I shivered at Kyles
words.
"Mhm." My fingers raked through his hair and his arms
tightened around me,
"For real, Zo." I loosened a little, "No,
Kyle."
His fingers dug into my back.
"Kyle, No." I said breathily. I tried to shove
away.
He held me close, not letting me escape, and continued kissing my
neck and my shoulder.
His hands slipped under the hem of my sweater, leaving a trail of
goosebumps where ever they touched. "Kyle! Please
stop." I said loudly. Were my parents home? My door was
shut. His grip was iron around me, I was trapped in the circle of
the arms I once thought i'd never want to leave. His fingers
tickled the small of my back and I twisted to my left.
"Stop it!" I yelled at him. He smiled at me, "But
we're together forever, right?"
I pressed my palms against his chest just as he lifted my shirt
over my head. He fell backwards, holding my sweater in his left
hand. His face was livid.
I wrapped my arms around myself, shivering in the cold. I was
pressed against my computer desk, and Kyle stood a few feet in
front of me.
He dropped my sweater and looked like his old self again.
"Baby, why are you crying?" He asked softly.
I wiped my tear streaked face.
"G-Get out. N-now."
He looked extremely broken. "What?"
I looked away from the bright blue eyes I'd grown to love and
then hate.
"You need to get help. Serious help."
I met his face again, and he was still old Kyle. "What do
you mean?"
He looked shrunken, but I wasn't about to fall for it
again.
"What do I mean? Look for yourself!" I spread my arms
out wide.
I was in skinny jeans and a black bra.
There were bruises up and down my body, trailing softly along my
arms.
I spun quietly so he could see the large yellowing bruise i'd
gotten from being shoved hard against my desk last Monday. I
turned back to face him.
"Who did that to you?" He asked, his voice cracked. I
know He knew.
I pointed to my full body mirror. He looked over and shut his
eyes.
When he opened them,
The Monster was back.
