I walked into school and instantly I knew something was
wrong. Every single eye turned towards me the minute I walked
through the front doors, snickering and whispering things into
each other's ears. The gazes burned into my skin and I
could feel myself getting red as I ran. I turned around the
corner and bumped into somebody, wincing.
"Emily." Dang it.
"Kirsten."
"Nice of you to show up. Didn't you get the
text?"
"What?" I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and
looked at a new text message. At the top was a list of everyone
it was sent to and my stomach lurched. The list had to be a
mile long. It was sent to every single person in this school
who owned a phone. To make it even worse, the item that was
sent with the message was the video of Mason kissing me.
"You didn't."
"I think I kind of did." She laughed. Some guy was
walking down the hall next to her with a plate of pancakes from
breakfast and she ripped the tray out of his hands, throwing it
against me. I let out a squeak as the pancakes slid down my
shirt and dropped to the floor, dripping syrup all over me. A
chorus of laughter erupted around the hall, bringing the
arrival of Ariana over.
"Hmm. You might want to wash that off!" She laughed
and took the lid off of her breakfast smoothie, dumping the
entire size-large cup over my head. This time, all I could hear
was the laughter. As I turned, there were groups of students
everywhere and a few teachers who just stared at me. Every
single person was laughing at me, no one even caring.
I let out a small choking sound and turned back towards Ariana
and Kirsten who just stood there, laughing more than everybody
else with sinister smiles on their faces. A few tears streamed
down my face and I had absolutely no idea what to do.
"Emily!" I turned towards the voice to see Mason
running over to me. Despite my stickiness, he pulled me into a
hug.
"Kirsten, what the heck?"
Kirsten just smiled at him innocently.
"What? She deserved it for trying to take you away from
me."
Mason glared at her.
"She didn't try to take me away from you. I
tried to take her, and she turned me down because
of you."
Kirsten looked at him with pure shock on her face.
"What?"
"And if this is who you actually are, I don't
want anything to do with you."
"What do you -"
"We're through."
Mason turned around and brought us both to the main entrance,
leaving every one around us in a shocked silence. Mason thought
he was saving me, but if anything, he probably made it worse.
This was nothing compared to what Kirsten was going to
do now that I actually stole her boyfriend.

"heck" with whatever you feel suiting. Yay for
