Never
wanted to feel an emotion so ruthless
Never expected pain to be bliss
Never thought I’d be one to join the many
Never dreamed I’d try to avoid options until I didn’t
have any
I try to find happiness
But there’s none in sight
I feel like a bird that just can’t seem to take flight
I’ve finally got what I want
But it’s not something I desire to flaunt
I need to know when I’ll finally feel again
When the pain will go away
Because maybe just maybe, I too can be happy
someday.
