Whisper My Name
Chapter Two
Ronnie's P.O.V

I raise an eyebrow at Carter. He shrugs his shoulders, and I look back down to my paper.
I don't write back. I don't want to.
We've been dating for four years, and it's all been a fake.
I don't even know what a real relationship is like. 
Throughout the whole math class, I keep thinking about what Carter wrote.
Maybe I should tell him that I want to fall in love. 
The bell rings, dismissing us. Four periods later, the day is finally over.
I shrug back onto the bus, and sit down. I pull out my phone, seven new texts from Carter.
I roll my eyes, and chuck my phone into the bottom of my bag.
When the bus stops, I see the kid get off. I get a good look at his face.
He's got brown hair, that hits just above his light green eyes.
He's tan, and looks pretty muscular, but he smells like he works on a farm. 
"Hey," I blurt out, not meaning to.
"Hi." He half-smiles at me. "I saw you this mornin', didn't I?" 
"Well, kind of, you seemed like you were in a hurry." I laugh a little.
"I'm not usually a late person." He has a southern accent to him.
Not someone I'd usually talk to, doesn't hurt to be nice I guess.
"This school is a lot different than my old 'un." 
"Oh, where'd you come from?" I see my house come up, but I don't want to leave yet.
"A little town in West Virgina." He nods his head while talking. 
"Oh, I've lived here, in Maine, my whole life...Sadly." I roll my eyes. 
"It's a beautiful state," He says. "Lots of nice people." 
"Yeah." I smile, maybe he's talking about me. "Well, this is my house."
"Alright, see you tomorrow."
He nods his hat, and walks into the house next to mine.
