"It is now
estimated that three-fourths of seven-year-olds now want to be
thinner."
I'm just going to rant a little. It is not society that
wanted this. It is not anybody who wanted this. However, anyone
who ever felt like the had to lose weight for non health related
issues contirbuted to this. Yes, I find myself guilty of that.
But we all need to stop. Right now. The media, what we say, what
we do, all of us just really need to sit down and think. Because
if this attitude towards weight continues, so many people are
going to have eating disorders, including young children.
It's disgusting. So please,I beg of you, make a
poledge with me, okay? Promise yourself that you are going to do
your best to have a little more confidence in yourself. You
don't need to be oozing self-esteem or be a an airhead. Just
try and find ten good things about yourself every time you look
in the mirror, and if youcan't do that, ask someone to point
them out to you.
Weight and beauty have different definitions. It's
time we realized that.
