chapter 37:
He took the rope, swung back, forward, and let go.
I almost had a heart attack as he let the rope fly back up toward the tree
and his body flew down towards the water.
He landed with a huge splash.
But he didn't come up right away.
My heart raced.
I didn't know if he was okay.
Did he drown? Was he okay? 
I took the rope and swung, screaming as I was in the air, 
and dropped into the water.
I came up gasping, laughing.
It was suprisingly fun.
Then I remembered I hadn't seen Adam.
"Adam!" I called out, scared. "Adam where are you?"
Suddenly he came up out of the water splashing me right in the face.
He started to laugh uncontrolably.
"I'm gunna get you back!" I started chasing him, splashing.
I never laughed so much in my life.
We both got tired and stopped before crawling onto the rocks on the shore.
We walked towards our picnic blanket laughing and trying so hard to breath correctly.
We were standing side by side and he looked at me.
I noticed at first, but didn't look back until I realized 
he wasn't going to look away. 
I looked back at him.
His straight face turned into a smile.
"Scarlet." He said slowly, looking me straight in the eyes.
His beautiful eyes sparkled.
"Yes.." I responded, almost in a whisper.
"My hearts wish was to find love. I needed someone to help me get through all of those tough times. Just a friend wouldn't help.
I knew it had to be more.
And I found that love."
He leaned towards me, still looking at me.
I looked down, not knowing what to say. But he knew I was happy.
My face turned bright red, I could feel it.
He picked up my chin and we were only centimeters away.
"Scarlet Anderson" He began, "will you be my girlfriend?"
My heart fluttered as butterflies took flight in my stomach.
"Yes." I whispered.
His hands reached my waist, and he spun me around, lifting me into the air.
It felt like slow motion. I never wanted this moment to end.
But then, what came next, changed my mind.
We stood still, my arms around his shoulders, and his around my waist.
He leaned in closer than before.
"I Love you."
He said before putting his soft pink lips against mine.
And the rest of the world disappeared once more.
