Runaway Love
Chapter Two
I approached the city where I knew I could get out of this he//
hole. I grabbed a taxi. Then the driver asked me “Where are
you going tonight?” I just mumbled “I don’t
really know where I am going....” I guess he heard me because
he replied “You want me to take you back home?” I
quickly snapped “No... I am going to Bluffton, South
Carolina.” He just nodded & started driving. I knew it
was going to be about morning when I got there. 500 miles away from
home should be good. I put my head phones in and Runaway Love came
on. I fell asleep, looking out the window.
I awoke to the
sunlight beaming through my window. I knew I was in South Carolina.
I rolled down my window, as the wind blew through my wavy, blonde
hair.
The taxi driver
said “Miss, we’re in Bluffton.”
I was shocked by how gorgeous it was! I saw a
small diner out of the corner of my eye with a sign in the window
that stated “Help Wanted!”
I asked the taxi driver to stop there. I handed
him 200 dollars. I had about 300 left, which wouldn’t do me
very well. Working at the dinner could help me get more
money.
