Andrew's father came home from work, "Nice to meet you sir" I said shaking his hand.
He said, "Oh great to meet you, Stephanie!"
I smiled, and I looked at Andrew and I heard his mom hollar "Dinner is ready!"
Andrew's dad put his luggage down and said to the mother, "Ah, great to be home sweetie"
He made a plate and Andrew took me inside, and handed me a plate
"Help yourself Stephanie," Billy said.
I smiled, "Thanks"
I put some salad on my plate with rice,corn, and steak
I grabbed a fork and knife and got ice and put some soda in it.
Andrew smiled at me as he was grabbing some food for himself.
As I was making my plate I heard my phone vibrate and I looked at my cell phone.
It was my mother.
"Oh god," I whispered to myself
"Is everything okay?" Andrew's mother said sweetly,
"Yeah; I'm fine" I paused, "My friend is just calling" I lied and ignored the call and continued making my plate
I got done and sat on the table with my food and soda,
Andrew followed me and sat right next to me
He knew I was shy about this whole situation,
I ate my food slowly and looked down and Billy started talking,
"Your cousins are going to come over tomorrow"
He said, "Oh alright."
"Introduce them all to Stephanie" He looked at me,
"I will" Andrew said politely,
He held my hand under the table and smiled at me,
The mother was in the living room watching T.V. eating the delicious dinner she made for us.
I finished my plate, and went inside the front room, "Thank you for the food it was delicious"
"Anytime Stephanie, Anytime"
"Andrew I'm going upstairs to unpack some stuff"
He said, "Alright I'll be there when I finish my dinner"
I smiled and didn't respond I just went upstairs,
I grabbed a pocket knife and opened up a box and got out my clothes
I sighed and called my mom back as I was doing that,
"Hello?" She answered ; She sounded really depressed, and I said
"You called?"
"Yeah. I was just going to apologize of what happened"
"Tell dad to apologize to me, You did nothing wrong"
I hung up on her and continued to unpack as Andrew came in the room
"Need me to help you with that?"
