I'm a complete and total nerd. I'm okay with it, but some of my 'friends' aren't. One especially nitpicks at every little thing I do wrong. Like I explained something to her and she called me nerdy like it's a bad thing to be smart. She always brings me down on my make-up, hair, and clothes. I feel like she's just being my friend to make her feel better. She also makes fun of my braces. I can't help it. She was one of my first friends so I don't want to end it, but she's drifting away. I feel like she's becoming a 'popular.' I know not many of you will see this but if you do please comment and tell me what to do.

Being a nerd is not something to be ashamed of! every time she calls you a nerd tell her its not a bad thing as she should be proud to have a smart friend like you! (:
Beside if she wants to be your friend.. she should be your friend for who you really are.. your personality.. not the way you look! (:

Since you said that she keeps correcting you for everything then she isn't a real friend. If she was a real friend then she would accept who you are and stand up for you. Find other people to hang out with. But if you don't want to end it with her, stand up for yourself. Tell her how you really feel. If she just keeps making fun of you just ignore her.
