Hey everyone!
This is a preview of the story that I could possibly be
doing.
Story #1 Star of My Sea.
Read and find out!
-Star of My
Sea-
Stella’s POV
“Quick, Stell—get the hallyards!”
“The WHAT?” I scream over the roaring, North Atlantic
wind.
“The...the rope things!” my father yells at me.
I duck over, just grabbing the ‘hallyards’ and
turning them furiously, using every ounce of muscle I posessed,
before our little boat, The Star of the Sea, turned into
another Titanic, or something.
The sails lowered and I grinned at my father, Liam. He loved our
Sunday morning sailing trips out on our little bay. We’d
set off pretty late in winter, like ten; but in summer we were up
at the crack of dawn to get sailing, a bite to eat then to get
washed and into church. It might be a strain but I love
sailing...even if I mighn’t know all the rope names, or
whatever.
The Star sailed majestically into Blue Harbour and we jumped out,
our wetsuits steaming as the beating sun dried them. I climbed
out of mine, and headed down into the changing rooms down by
Peggy’s Parlour, the ice-cream shop everyone loved. I took
a shower in the freezing free standing ‘thingie’ and
tied my sea-battered hair into a bun on the top of my head. I
grabbed my jeans and blouse, threw them on, and headed out to
meet my father, who was looking like a different man at this
stage.
He was a different man now. Ever since my mother died, my little
brother Sam has been spending more and more time with my aunt
Sarah. Dad hates it. He wants us to be able to deal with
Mum’s passing together.
Dad finds it hard to deal with me growing up. He’s very
protective. My friends all seem to have the time of their lives,
when I’m home, studying, reading, swimming or sailing.
It’s hard.
But ever since Roger McDermott started working in the surf shop
on the harbour, I can’t stop thinking about him.
More? Or less! Haha. Please fave. You
have no idea how much it means.

Hey, this is actually really good (and not like all the other shy-girl-popular-guy-who-fall-madly-in-love stories on here!)
