It was almost 5 minutes past 12,
and i was waiting for Thalia in the cafeteria. i
started to shake my right leg, a nervous habbit i
had since i was a little boy. "Maybe she
decided to ditch me." i thought to myself. it
wouldnt be the first time someone thought i
wasn't good enough. maybe she was waiting by
her car. i quickly walked past all the noisy lunch
tables and strode towards the parking lot. i
reached the spot where i first saw her getting out
of her black honda, and, it wasnt a surpirse when i
saw the spot was empty. "Great, why did i
think she was different from any of the
others?" i felt my heart drop. "she
seemed so perfect" i thought to myself, as i
kicked at the gravel beneath my feet. i trudged
back to the school's building taking as much
time as possible. the 10 minute warning bell went
off and i grabbed my things and made my way to
health class. i dont know what i was going to do
when i saw her sitting in that class.

i walked up the trailer steps, and saw her sitting
towards the back of the room. she smiled at me and
i dismissed her by looking at the ground.
"Peter, you are at that seat over there"
the teacher said. "Thank you sir" i
mumbled as i walked over. i saw my phone laying on
the desk next to a new one. i picked it up and
examined it confused. it said i had gotten a text
message from 'Thalia
:)' that read "Peter, i
hope ur not 2 mad at me that our lucn was canceled,
i got u a new phone considering i smashed ur old 1,
and it is pretty much nonexistant now. if ur pretty
bummed about it, go listen 2 Machine Head by Bush,
they always make me feel better
;)" i glanced her way and mouthed
'THANKS'. she was doing her smile again. i
laughed and shook my head. my phone buzzed again.
"So how about u meet me tonight at the
park 7?"
i replied; "wouldnt
miss it 4 the world"
