Just another Teenage love story

Chapter 19:
  After he left I sprinted up the stairs and into my wardrobe, literally. I had to find something to wear, so I began rummaging through everything.  
I was hunting for a dress, I had one in mind, it was red, perhaps not the kind you would wear to such an event, but it had to do.   Ten red pieces of clothing later, I found it.
I layed it out on the bed and dived for the shower, scrubbed every inch of my body and felt completly refreshed.
Then I dried my hair. I left my hair natural, it was wavy, which looked nice, I guess. I put all on one side like always.  
I put on my dress, it fitted nicely, the dress went down to my knees and it was silver and red, it was quite a casual dress, but I didn't have much of a choice.
Next, I did my make up, after siiiting infront of the mirror looking for inspriration, I began to make a start. I made my eyes smokey and dark, it really made my bright eyes stand out. After, I put on some shiny lip gloss and I was ready.  
I grabbed a purse from my Mom's room and stuffed it with some money I had stored away and my phone.
I waited by the door as  it was eight o'clock. As I sat, I began to think over my dress choice, I began to think that it was too casual, not suitable, I had a brain storm, Mom had loads of dresses, why didn't I look there before?
I headed for the stairs, but he knocked on the door.
I swung open the door and, on my way to the stairs, quickly said, "I'm just going to change,"
He caught my hand and pulled me towards him and whispered,
"You look perfect,"
