The last day of school is when we'll say our final goodbye 
I’ll miss you a lot & I’ll try not to cry
I can’t believe how fast this time flew by
It was so wonderful getting to know you this year
When the last day of school comes and goes, I’ll try not to shed a tear
There are so many things, though, that I fear
I’m afraid that you’ll move on with your summer fun
& our friendship will fade away and be done

I’ll sit in my house home alone
Patiently waiting for your name to appear on my phone
I should’ve known
I’ll go through the memories as if they happened yesterday
I’ll think about conversations and all the things I didn’t say
I really hope I’ll see you again someday
But at that moment on the last day of school, I’ll look you straight in the eyes
