Fake Smiles
Chapter 2

             When Vanessa woke up the next morning. She smelt bacon. Marissa was already downstairs. She usually helped her mother with breakfast when Ness slept later then her. Vanessa looked in the mirror. No one had to know she was up yet. She looked at herself carefully. She fixed her hair and tried out her smile. She couldn't let them know she was hurting.
           "Wanna come to the mall with us today, Ness?" Sam, Marissa's mother asked with a grin. Vanessa nodded as she shoved another peice of bacon in her mouth. " Okay, Were leaving in about an hour. I'll tell Rissa to call you before we leave." I smiled to her as Marissa walked me to the door.
          "Seeya later!" Vanessa yelled as she walked across the street. When Ness got home, she went straight upstairs. She knew her mother was working and her father was out on a business trip. He left two days ago. He'd be back later in the week. Vanessa was also an only child. She opened her door and fell into her bed with a loud groan.
