Direction
Chapter 2
We all piled into the van and I sat in the back with Harry and
Niall. Niall is like a big brother to me now, at first he was a
little nervous around me since he went to an all-boys school and
didn’t really know how to act. I got to the Horan house in
the middle of eighth grade (which, yes, I got to skip, since I was
the top student of my class). After about a month Niall and I were
really comfortable around each other. I didn’t know if it was
going to be anything more, but we were kind of on the edge of being
something. He was 16 and I was 14…that’s only a two
year difference and he liked younger girls. About a month and a
half later, Niall and I were in his basement watching
“Scream”, but only because it was on T.V., and I'm
not the biggest fan of horror films. Something scary happened and I
screamed (no pun intended) and I fell into Niall’s lap. I
didn’t realize what had just happened. Niall had put his arm
around my stomach and his other hand on my face and twisted my head
so that it was facing his. He leaned over and kissed me. He had the
softest lips ever as his locked and unlocked them with mine. I
don’t even know how long we did that but afterwards we just
started watching the movie again, but this time we didn’t
feel like friends, we felt like lovers. That’s far from over
now, because the morning after it happened I found a note on my
dresser from Niall. It read,
“Allie, last night was amazing, I
won’t even deny it. But I can’t act like that with you,
not when you're living in my house around my family. I wish I
could, but there isn’t any way my parents would approve of
it. We both need to control ourselves a little more, but I
don’t even know if I know how to. You're very attractive.
You're long brown hair, and you're green eyes, and
you're nice bum are too much for me to handle. I can’t
have more feelings for you than I already do, but we can’t do
things that are going to make me insane. I'm so sorry Allie, I
hope you understand. I love you, Niall”
I think I knew that was coming, but I
read and re-read that letter so many times before I finally found
myself able to go downstairs.
Harry was sitting to my right and Niall to my left, and yes I got
caught in the middle, which I don’t mind. Zayn, Louis and
Liam were sitting in front of us and Louis kept turning around
saying, “Harry if I find you cheating on me with that girl
then I'm gunna cheat on you with Zayn, got it?” every
time he said that I laughed. Louis is hilarious. End of story. We
were in the car for about an hour before we got to the airport. We
all picked up our suitcases and walked in to the building. We
checked in our baggage and went through security and within an hour
we were hoppin’ on the plane to New York City! Niall wanted
me to sit next to him but just to egg on Louis, Harry yelled,
“No! Niall, pretty please, will you let me sit with your
gorgeous girl?” That one made me blush, big time. He then ran
in front of Niall, but his hand around my waste and walked me to
our seats. It was kind of cute, I have to admit. Niall ended up
sitting with Liam and Zayn ended up sitting with Louis. We all got
comfortable and the plane started to take off. Harry was sitting
next to me and it was going to be that way for another 8 ½
hours.
