Just Another
Winter
Chapter
Thirteen:
Taylor's
POV:
“…T-Taylor..?” Ronnie asked
completely confused. I sighed and crossed my arms rolling my
eyes. I did not want to do this.
“This makes no sense. You’re dead.” She
breathed.
“I know. No need to rub it in.” I groaned and walked
over to her bed. I sat down on it and bounced up and down.
“Your bed is too firm.” I whined.
“I don’t care about my bed! How are you here?!
You’re dead!!!” She screeched.
My eyes widened. “Shut up! Jeez, your parents are going to
think you’re crazy.” She looked down, slightly
embarrassed.
“Too late for that.” She mumbled. I gave her a
weird look, but shrugged it off.
“Anyway, I’m here to help you. Haven’t you seen
the movies? You need guidance. Here I am.” I murmured lying
completely down on her bed, trying to keep my sanity.
“So you are my angel? That’s what you are telling me
right now? How did you even know I needed help? I don’t
need your help! I could barely put up with you when you were
alive.” Ronnie shot at me. I felt my blood start to boil as
I stood up and marched over to her.
“You listen to me. I do not want to be here okay? All I
want to do is be able see my friends and family again. But I
can’t do that until I help you with your prissy little
problems. So just shut the hell up and deal with it because even
standing in the same room as you is making me want to kill myself
and I’m already dead.” I spat. Her eyes immediately
dropped to the floor and I thought I saw tears in her eyes. I
started to feel guilty. I had been harsh with her. But my whole
life she had tortured me… why should I be nice? Other than
the fact that I have to.
I heard footsteps coming up the stairs.
“Ronnie? Who are you talking to?” it sounded like her
father.
“Quick hide.” She hissed at me. I walked over and sat
on her bed.
“Don’t have to. Only you can see me.” A second
later her father walked into the room. He was tall and bulky with
short dirty blonde hair and sharp green eyes.
“Veronica? Who were you talking to.” He asked
again.
Ronnie looked away. She seemed frightened. “No one
Daddy.”
“But I heard voices.” He seemed to be getting
unnecessarily impatient with her. I sat up and watched more
intently.
“I was just talking to myself.” She mumbled. The loud
crack of skin hitting skin made me jump.
“You’re lying! I do not appreciate liars you little
b*tch!!” Tears fell out of Ronnie’s eyes as I sat
there staring with my mouth wide open at the father and daughter
standing in front of me. He had just smacked her as hard as he
could across the face.
