Chapter 28
2 Years later
Thalia's
P.O.V.
It
was summer in London. My favorite time of year. The breezy wind,
the sunny days. It was all perfect in Europe.
I've been living in a flat here for two months now, working
behind the scenes at the O2 arena.
Now I know it may seem weird to be here, when it's where
he is, but something was telling me that this is where I
was supposed to be.
So I left Alli, and my mom again, but I made sure that this time
I was ready.
I'm nineteen now, and it's easier for me to be away from
them longer.
So here I am, living in london and scheduling bands and singers
at one of the biggest venue's in london.
I took a bus over to the arena, and walked through the doors to
get backstage. Weaving my way through sound equipment and
instruments I finally found myself in the back offices.
I went to my office first, dropping off my stuff.
It was pretty small, but It worked. Just a desk and a few
chairs.
Then I went to talk to Hayley, my best friend since I've been
here and my co-worker.
As I walked into her office she motioned to the phone in her
hand, gesturing for me to hold on a second.
I plopped down on her couch and grabbed a lollipop from the jar
on the coffee table. Hayley never went without candy.
I heard her mutter a few words into the phone, say bye, and then
hang up.
"Who was that?" I questioned, focusing on unwrapping
the candy.
"See, if I told you that you might hurt me," she
said.
I looked up giving her a wierd look. She gave me a sympathetic
one in return. The realization hit me and I choked on the
lollipop.
"No." I said after I was done practically hacking my
lungs out.
"Yes," She replied, "Thalia you had to know that
this was going to happen eventually! It's London.
They live here. And you work at an arena! It's not
surprising."
I knew that I shouldn't be surprised and I guess I knew it
was going to happen all along, but this was unexpected. I
hadn't run into him in two years. And I was hoping that I
never would.
I groaned and rolled over on the couch face down.
Smacking my head on the pillow beneath me repeatedly I muttered,
"Please.shoot.me.now.or.I'll.quit."
"No and no." Hayley got up from her desk and pulled me
into a sitting position by my hair.
"Ouch!" I screamed, rubbing the back of my head.
"What the f*ck was that for?!"
"For being weak," she muttered before walking out.
"Argggh," I groaned before flipping face down
again.
Hiyaaaaaaaaaaaa. <hmm I don't even
know. So what's new with you guys? Tell me about your day. Or
a funny story. OR tell me when school ends for you guys(: I have
less then 11 days and then exams start. EFF. I'm not looing
forward to those...
