The Perfect Family; Chapter
29
Nick finally comes out and drives
everyone home. The ride is silent and then there's only Sam
and I left.
He pulls up to our house and me and Sam quickly jump out, holding
hands to show Nick that we're not mad at eachother. I hear
him sigh before he drives away.
We walk inside and collapse on the couch. "What a day."
I mumble and chuckle. He laughs and nods.
I get up and make dinner for the two of us, since Charlie is
staying at Sam's mom for the week.
I cook up some steak and baked potatoes, and we sit down to
feast.
As Sam stuffs his face, I click on the tv.
"And on today's news, Nicholas Thomas was found by his
mother in his room, with a spilled pill bottle next to his bed,
with more than half the pills gone. Next to his bed was a note
that read;
To whoever finds
me,
I'm sorry I had to do this, but it was my only choice.
The girl of my dreams hates my guts, my best friend is in jail,
and I am just a wreck. There was nothing here for me anymore.
Don't worry, it wasn't painful. I just got a little
dizzy.
Don't bother to try and save me, by the time you find me,
I'll already be gone. My eyes are starting to droop now. I
feel no pain at all. Please don't cry for me, you'll all
be okay without me. I love you all, more than anything.
To Anthony-Have fun in hell my friend, cuz you're sure as
hell not going where I am.
Sam-Thanks for being there for me, sorry I let you down.
Mom-I love you. Please don't cry. This wasn't your
fault.
And Ari-Sweet, sweet Ari. I love you. Always have, always will.
If you were mine, I'd remind you that every day. But sadly,
your heart is taken. So here I am, laying on my bed, pills in
stomach, heading to heaven. I'll save you a seat. Tell Bree
that Uncle Nick had to move, and that I love her. But Ari,
you're the most beautiful, amazing girl I've ever met.
I'll never forget you, if you never forget me. You will be
the last thing on my mind before I pass. I'm sorry for what I
did to you at the beach, but I wanted you to be mine. I love you
so much. I know you hate me, but please, keep me in your heart.
Forever and always. I'll be meditating in heaven.

I run upstairs to the bathroom and lock the door, collapsing on
the ground, sobbing.
