Until I heard it all, some part of me still
Lacked common sense and believed in you,
Believed I could still trust you. But
As usual, I was stupid again. It
Shocks me how you would lie to me so
Horribly, telling me you were talking
Over nothing at all with my friend, not even listening, when
Really, you were badmouthing me behind my back.
Evading this is no use, I was told everything.
How could you say things like that about me while
At the same time telling me you still loved me, still cared?
Those were some vicious things, things that hurt so much
to hear.
Evidently, I now have proof you've been lying
So I guess it's time for me to step back and
Really and truly believe everything I suspected.
Of course, you mean the world to me. You meant
Connecting with someone, finally having a best friend again.
Keeping you was so much more than "I like having a
boyfriend."
Now, though...I guess it's good I know what you truly
think.
Over time you hurt me so much, and you still hurt me now.
What an idiot I have been. I'm glad I finally know the
truth.
