Chapter 4

Beckys P.O.V: (Point of view)

A million different thoughts were going through my head. Was my Mom right? Should I go? But what would it be like? Would I enjoy myself while I was there? Would I get home-sick? I sighed. This was overwhelming. I felt really nervous and when I thought about going I got butterflies. This whole thing just wasn't me. I'm meant to be invisible. I liked it that way. Although I do agree with my Mom when she said maybe a change would be good for me. And anyway, Allison would be there with me too.

I logged onto Witty and clicked on Allisons comments. "Hey Allie, girl:) So, i've been thinking about going to the WSA. I'm not sure yet though, i'd be really nervous and self-conscious; though it would be really great to meet you in person. You're one of the small amount of people that actually understand me. I'll decide by the end of the day." I clicked the 'send' button.

I heard the front door open. It was Mom, arriving back from her weekly food shopping. "Becky? Could you give me a hand with the shopping bags please?" She called up from the bottom of the stairs.
"Yeah Mom, I'm coming."
I was outside bringing in the bags when I laid my eyes on a pink and white spotty suitcase that was just lying there in the boot.
"Mom." I called out. "What's this?"
She grinned. "Oh it's just something I picked up, just in case you decide to go to that summer academy. If you decide not to go I can bring it back. Do you like it?"
I smiled. I did like it. I traced one of the white spots.
"Yeah Mom I love it. Thanks." I smiled at her.

As the day went on the idea of the WSA became more and more appealing. I loved my new suitcase, it was really cool. And when I sat down at dinner time, Mom said she would bring me shopping to buy some new clothes for the summer camp. She said I could bring a friend too. So, I decided I was going to go to the academy. And the first thing I was going to do? Go tell my best friend Allison.
