Chapter 29
 The next morning when I woke up, Tyler was nowhere to be found.  I walked into the main room where he was waiting with Dad, both drinking Starbucks coffee.  Ty handed me a cappuccino and I sat on the floor in front of the TV.  Lanie walked in after me and Dad handed her a Frappuccino. 
                "Where are Mom and Eli?" I asked Dad.
                "Eli went out last night with Lanie and he is still asleep, and Mom went to go buy new magazines for us.  She saw something about you guys on the cover this morning while watching some talk show.  They were talking about you guys again by the way.  You need to stop making headline news.  Is it at all possible for you guys to just lay low for a week or two? This is getting to be too much," he replied.
                "We don't do it on purpose.  People just like us, who are we to get in the way of that?" I asked, laughing.
                He chuckled too and sipped his coffee.  Two seconds later, Mom and Eli both walked in the room from two different directions.  Eli limped in with an obvious hangover and Mom marched in with six magazines in one hand, a large Starbucks coffee in the other hand, and a stern look on her face.
                "What's up Mama Mia?" I asked, taking the magazine from her and patting the spot next to me for her to sit down. 
                She sat and spread the magazines on the floor with me and I looked in horror at all of the different covers.  They all had Ty and me on them and the word pregnant somewhere in the title.  I sighed and turned the closest one to the page where our story was printed. 
Too Young?
Platinum selling rapper T-Mat (Tyler Matthews) and his girlfriend, breakout artist Haylee Crown, have been on tour together for seven months. Many think that 16 year old Crown is too young to be holding the responsibility of a career and financial responsibilities. Most also agree that she is too young to be dating 23 year old Matthews, even though she is of legal age.  Something that I am sure that everyone agrees with is that they are both too young to be having a baby, yet at their last concert they announced the fact that they are expecting next July. Fans and critics alike were in shock over this news and we wonder what will be next for the pair.  Crown is in a particularly fragile state at the moment because a fan at the duo's previous concert pushed her off stage into a fence and broke several of her ribs, puncturing her lungs. It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of this plays out, and how the rest of their lives will change.
"The press is having a field day with this, you know?" Mom said, folding the magazine and sticking it in the trashcan. 
                "Oh this is just the beginning.  This baby will be the center of media attention for the next year and a half.  Everyone loves celebrity kids, especially ones as scandalous as this one.  The less planned, the better for them," Tyler informed us over his coffee.
                "So there is going to be more? When will it stop? I don't want our kid to be brought up like that; I don't think it'd be very good for him or her."
                "There's not much we can do about it until he is born.  Sorry baby."
                We ate our breakfast in silence and then we went down to where the limo was waiting for us.  The girls got in one limo and the boys got in the other.  Because it was the day before the awards, the girls were going to get hair, makeup, and nails done.  The boys were all out to buy tuxes.
