Ever heard of the Butterfly
Project? Google it. It's for teens who cut. Did you know
that my boyfriend spent weeks going to different kids from my
high school, from nerds to jocks to band geeks to druggies,
telling them the story about the love of his life, and how she
cuts herself out of hopelessness? Then he asked if they would
let him draw a butterfly to show support for her. He drew
butterflies on sixty people and took a picture of each one.
Then he made a video with all of the pictures of their
butterflies and smiling faces and sent it to her. I haven't
cut since.
