Adopted Into Love
Chapter 2
Rachel's POV:
A mop of curly, chestnut brown
hair with freckles sprinkled across his face and dimples in his
cheeks rushed towards me and hugged me the second he saw me.
“I’m Pete” his brown eyes with specks of green
were looking up at me while still hugging me. “Oh hi Pete.
I’m Rachel” I smiled back at him. “Mommy said
that you’re going to be my big sister now. I can’t
wait!” After he stopped hugging me, he bounced around with
excitement yelling “I have a big sister now!” I
watched with amusement. Little kids always made me happier. When
I use to be around Pete’s age at the adoption center, there
was a girl who was the same age as me and she was always full of
energy. Her name was Annemarie and she was naturally pretty. I
was always jealous of her. However, we were friends though.
She brought my sad, rainy days to happy, bright days. All
of her energy made up for the two of us, so I never really talked
to her. But when I look back at my past, I wish that I talked to
her at least once. She got adopted at age 6 though, and I was
left behind at the adoption center. “He always is so
energetic. Now where are those other boys?” Sheri wondered
to herself. She then walked over to a wall in the kitchen and
talked into an intercom mounted there. “Boys, you better
get your butt down here in 2 minutes, or no desert for you”
A stern look was spread across her face, but I could tell that
there was a hint of tease in there. Within seconds, there was
many legs stomping down the stairs, so it sounded like thunder.
“We’re here, calm down Mom.” the blonde
boy in the picture smiled. He saw me and walked over to me. I
extended my hand out when he offered me a handshake. Surprised,
he took my hand and pulled me in towards his chest. I guess
this family loves hugs I thought. “My name is Sam if
Mom didn’t tell you yet” he explained.
“Cool, my name is Rachel” I replied. We ended our hug
and I saw that he wasn’t the only person who made the
thunder sound from the stairs. Behind Sam were two guys around
his age. They both were tall, muscular, and hot, but besides that
they looked different. One stood around 6’2” and had
gray eyes that are sometimes covered with curly blonde hair. The
other guy was looked as if he was 6’1” tall, and had
long, straight, black hair that really made his green eyes pop.
“Hello, I’m Greg Davidson, Sam’s best friend
who always stays here and eats all of his food. If you need help
with anything, I’m here” Blondie winked in a
playerish way while extending his arm offering a handshake. I was
about to shake hands with his, until green eyes pushed him out of
the way. I giggled when I saw Greg’s angry expression.
“ Hello, I’m Greg Davidson, Sam’s best friend
who never goes to his own house. If you need any help with
anything, I’m here to stare at you” Green eyes
mocked, his eyes gleaming. I laughed a genuine laugh, not the
fake ones I use to do with some of Mark’s jokes.
“Hey, my name is Ryan Miller, and I’m not as bad as
Greg. I’m Sam’s bestest ( I know that’s not a
word ) friend. If you need any help with anything, I will
actually help you” he seriously said. Ryan’s
tone was so caring, sweet, and nice, unlike Greg’s player
tone. We then shook hands, but it somehow turned into a long hug.
“Aww man, where’s my hug?” Greg yelled out,
causing us to stop. “Well if you would’ve stopped
looking at my boobs, then maybe I would’ve hugged
you” I argued in his face. “True, true” he
mumbled, even though everyone heard him. I was so mad at
him that I didn’t notice Ryan’s arm was still around
me from when we hugged. “Ahem” Sam cleared his throat
loudly and on purpose, while staring at Ryan’s arm laying
on my shoulder. “Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to”
Ryan apologized while taking his arm off of me while smiling
sheepishly. There was a hint of blush coming from his
cheeks.
