The next morning, I woke in a pool of blood.
I started to scream, knowing I was home
alone. I picked up my phone, and called Matt.
He picked up, and I began to panic.
"Matt.." I said, sobbing.
"Gracie, what is it?" He asked, I
could hear the worry in his voice.
"It's the baby." I said, barely
getting it out. I hung up the phone, not
waiting for a response. I dialed 911, and
told them what was going on, and of my
condition. It took them 10 minutes to get to
my house. The paremedics rushed me to the
hospital. I began to feel dizzy, then I
passed out.

"Where am I?" I asked, opening my
eyes to a super bright light.
"You're at the hospital." I
heard Matt say. I reached out to where his
voice was coming from, and he took my
hand.
"Is the baby alright?" I asked,
putting my free hand on my stomach. Matt
squeezed my hand lightly.
"You.." He trailed off.
"I what?" I asked, turning my head
towards him.
"You had a misscarriage, and because of
your blood condition you lost a lot of blood.
You could have died, if you hadn't called
911." Matt said, kissing my hand. I
could feel the warm tears roll down my
cheek.
"I-I lost the baby?" I asked,
sitting up. Matt gently pushed me back
down.
"Yes, Gracie." He said, tears
formed in his eyes. I pulled his hand to my
lips, and held it there with my eyes shut
tightly. "I'm sorry Gracie, for
everything." He
said.
