Matt held my hand when they took my blood. I
hated needles.
"You'll feel a small pinch."
The nurse said, as Matt gave my hand a
squeeze. I closed my eyes, and bared my teeth
as the needle pricked through my skin.
"Alright, all done." Said the
nurse. I opened my eyes, and watched as she
put a transformers band aid on my arm. I
smiled.
"Thanks." I said. The nurse smiled
back at me.
"We'll have the results by
tomorrow." She said, sitting down in her
chair. "Come by around noon." She
said, I nodded and slowly got out of the bed.
I still ached, but not as bad.
"Do you need help, do you want to use
the wheelchair?" Matt asked, reaching
for it. I shook my head.
"No, there's no need. I can walk
just fine, it just hurts." I said. Matt
nodded, then took my left hand in his.
"Let's go then." He said,
pulling me along. At home, we snuggled on the
couch and watched Disney movies for the rest
of the day. My favorite being Oliver and
Company. I fell asleep on Matt, and he
didn't bother to move me. He fell asleep
as well. In the morning I woke up covered
with a blanket, and Matts arm protectively
around me. He was still asleep. I rolled
over, so I was looking up at his face.
"Matt." I whispered, reaching up
and touching his face. He smiled lightly then
grabbed my hand. "Good morning, sleepy
head." I said giggling. Matt kissed my
hand.
"Good morning, beautiful." He said,
making me blush. I glanced over at the clock
on the VCR. It read 11:15.
"Matt, we gotta get ready. We have to go
to the hospital." I said, sitting up. I
began to feel dizzy, and I blacked out. I
grabbed Matts shirt in one hand, and put the
other on my temple. I felt Matt put his hand
on my back.
"Are you okay?" He asked,
worriedly.
"Yeah, just got up to fast." I
said, regaining my vision. I got up slowly
from the couch, and held out my hand for
Matt. He took it, and I pulled him up. He
wrapped me into a hug, and kissed the top of
my head. "Come on, let's go." I
said, pulling him towards my room. I threw my
hair up into a messy bun, and pulled on a
black pair of shorts. I pulled on my white
flowy top, and pulled on a colorful sweater
on over it. I slipped on my toms, and then
pulled Matt to the door.

I sat down in one of the waiting room
chairs, with Matt in the one next to me. He
took my hand, and I threw my legs over his.
"I love you, just so you know." I
said, smiling. Matt smiled back.
"Good, because I love you too." He
said, running a hand through my hair. I
leaned into it, letting it run down my
cheek.
"Grace Quimby?" A nurse said,
coming out of the corridores.
I stood up. "Me." I said. She waved
me forward, and I pulled Matt along. She set
us down in a room, and we waited for one of
the doctors. It took 15 minutes, but a doctor
finally came in.
"Sorry about the wait." He said. I
smiled.
"It's alright." I said.
"So, do you know what's wrong with
me?" I asked him. He nodded, and the
smile he had dissappeared.
"We have come to the conclusion that you
have Hemophelia. It's where your blood
doesn't clot normally. You've been
bleeding internally, and it has been damaging
other organs in your body." He said. I
felt Matts grip tighten around my hand, and
it was beginning to hurt but I didn't say
anything. Instead, I stared at the doctor in
horror. I didn't know what to say. I
watched as the doctor walked out, then
wrapped myself in Matts
arms.
