Chapter 11

I walked outside into the rain down to the beach for the 100th time this summer.

It was raining, but it kind of set the tone of what was going to happen.

I saw him walking my way and took a short breath.

"Hey" he sighed.

"Hey"

"So you wanted to talk?"

"Yeah."

"Well?"

"Look, we cant be together. I have thought long and so hard and right now there is only one boy I want to be with."

"But I thought we were happy?" He kicked the sand.

"Im sorry."

I watched a teardrop fall from his eye. I couldnt bare to watch him cry.

I touched his arm but pulled away and quickly walked off the beach.

I stood on the peir and watched him walk away.

That was the last time I would see Matt this summer.

"Tyler!"

I jumped into his arms and kissed him softly.

"Hey babe." He smiled.

I could have stayed in his arms forever.

Thats when I realized why I made my decision.

I wasnt inlove with Matt. I was inlove with what he said. But Tyler was different.

I was inlove with everything about him.

And I knew for the first time in a long time, I made the right decision.

Me and Tyler were happy. Jessilynn went off to some boarding school.

Matt, well Matts a different story.

He may never be happy.

But life is better now. And Im truely happy.
