Living Hell To Fairytale

Chapter 1

Part 3:

It was disgusting. It was covered with empty beer bottles, buds if cigarettes and empty cigarette packs. I trudged through it all. I rudely woke my mom up and told her she has to take me and Jayden to school. She began yelling at me, but I just ignored her. I walked back to my room, it was small. Probably about the size of; the three stall bathrooms we have at school put together. Everything was squished, but it was all me and Jayden had. She was asleep on her couch. She doesn’t have a bed and she wanted me to have the only bed, which was a twin bed. Megan had the bed before she was taken away from us and I had to share the couch with Jayden. I walked over to her and kissed her forehead. I looked at myself in the mirror. I look so different then I did in 6th grade starting middle school. In fact, now that I think of it. I look alot better than I did then. But my personality is still the same. Some people think I’m annoying and a freak, but I don’t care. Ever since I was little I’ve been told this, but I never let it get to me. It has made me into the person that I am today. A crazy, random, hilarious, somewhat attractive girl. I want to be remembered as Autumn. The girl who didn’t care about anyone’s opinion of her. But that was only the school Autumn. They don’t know the daily struggles I go through. I took out the ponytail holder that was holding the bun that I put up last night before bed. It was hanging half way out, so it was easy. I put the hair bow back on my wrist with my other two hair bows. I always carried them around out of habit and if I needed one. I brushed my long auburn hair. It went past my shoulders, below my boobs. It was so long, sometimes I hated it. But I will never ever cut it short again. I did that at the end if 6th grade. I cut it to my chin. It was horrible, I couldn’t do anything with it. Thank goodness my hair grows fast. I plugged in my straight iron and turned it on and all the way up. I set it down in the window sill, which was right beside the mirror. I have a pretty good straighter. It is one of those titanium ones and went up to 450 degrees. Lily gave it to me after she got a new one, which was fine with me. I turned on the dim light, disgusted after flipping the dirty rusty switch. I went to the “closet”; area of the room. It was a rack, much like a store clothes rack, the ones that are a long, straight metal rod connected to two side poles with wheels. In fact, this rack was thrown out by a store and we took it after asking. My sister taught me to never steal. Mainly because if I got caught and the police got involved, they might search our house and find us in horrible living conditions and the child services would take us away and put us in an orphanage and we may get split up. Even though it was hard living with the monster, it would be harder to be living without each other.
