What do you want from me?
Chapter three.
I waited at the park like Harry told me to.
I saw him walking down the street towards the park.
He had a jar and a suitcase.
I didn't know he was actually serious about this.
"What's in the jar?" I asked.
"It's emergency money." He whispered.
"Wow, you are not going to let this go, are you?"
"No, i'd blame my self if anything ever happened to you."
"Fine. Since you won't give up, let's start walking."
"Follow me," Harry grabbed my arm. He walked to the nearest payphone and
called someone. "Hey. Yeah, me and Mona- Yeah. Okay. See you then, bye.
"Who was that? What'd he say?" I asked.
"It was Elijah. He'll give us a ride to wherever we need to go."
"Really? Okay cool."
We waited and sat in the small phonebooth
Almost immediately after I said "This kid needs to hurry up",
He pulled up. 'Hey, man! What's up?"
Elijah is an annoying jock that thinks he's better than everyone.
I hated him. He didn't know, and I wouldn't tell him. Because it would totally blow our ride.
I got in the backseat. I though Harry would get in the front but he got in the backseat with me.
"Are you cold?" Harry asked.
"No." I lied, chattering my teeth and crossing my arms.
"Ha. Okay."
 He took a cover out of his suitcase and threw it over me.
"I said i'm not cold." I tried to take it off.
"Mona, just leave it on, you always let your pride get in the way of everything."
"No I don't!"
"Yes you do. And that's exactly what you're doing now."
Is that true? Do I always let my pride get in the way?
we were silent until  Elijah asked "Well, where do you want to go?"
"Take us to Benny's."
"What? Who's Benny??"
"Calm down, I would never take you anywhere that i'd think you would be in danger."
We pulled up to a 2 star looking restaurant.
"Wait here."
"Ugh, fine." I agreed.
While i waited i put my headphones in and played some music.
I closed my eyes and relaxed.
I felt  something cold and soft on my lips.
It was Elijah trying to kiss me.
"Elijah, get off of me!" I yelled.
"Calm down, relax, just ki-"
"No! get off, Elijah!"
Elijah jumped off of me when he saw Harry walking out of Benny's.
He had a to go bag full of food.
"This should keep us full for like a month." Harry laughed.
"Did you spend all of the emergency money on this?"  I asked
"No, it was free. Benny's like my dad."
Harry didn't have a dad, and his mom was a drug addict, always dating drug dealers.
