Cancer
Is My New Best Friend.
Chapter 3,
It was a few days after my
treatment.
I woke up for school; I put on an
aeropostle shirt and a pair of sweatpants.
I gave in dressing up for school
since I lost my hair.
I went down for pop tarts and
Dallas smiled at me while my younger sister Georgia remained
quiet. Ever since I got this illness I could see she was feeling
left out or not bothered we didn’t really talk.
Dallas helped me into the
car.
“Remember if anyone says
something tell me” he smiled putting on the radio which was
playing my favorite song don’t stop believing –
Journey.
“And if you feel sick tell
me, I’ll drive you home” he said dropping Georgia
off.
“Have a nice day
Georgie” I said giving a weak smile.
“You too” she said
hugging me.
Once Dallas and I arrived at
school we went our separate ways.
“You’re looking
stronger” my friend Ellie said hugging onto me. I winced in
pain but it didn’t matter it would be time before I
wouldn’t get any of this.
“Thanks but I don’t
feel it” I said smiling “Thanks for supporting
me”
“You’re
welcome” she smiled “You’re beautiful no matter
what”
The bell rang out and we made our
way inside.
People were pushing past each
other but ever since I got this illness we waited till
last.
“Baldy” one boy said
pushing into me; I felt pain in my shoulder.
“Leave her alone!”
Ellie said looking at the boy.
“It’s alright
I’m used to it” I said trying not to cry “Can
you get my cell phone out my backpack please?”
She found the cell phone and
handed me it, my fingers dialled the doctor’s
number.
I needed to stop my
treatment.
