I stood by my locker as I slowly turned the lock and pulled
it off before shoving my books into the locker. I headed to
the cafeteria then stopped suddenly when I heard someone
call my name. I spun around on my heel and faced Eric.
It's been a month since we met and I barely spoke to
Eric, I didn't want to make Tyler upset.
"Hey Eric."
"Hey Payton. I'm sorry if I made you
uncomfortable, I noticed you trying your best to avoid
me."
"No it's t-"
"Tyler, I know. You love him and all that." He
walked forward and I leaned against the wall as he flashed
a bright smile in my direction.
"But you know Payton, i'm not a bad guy or
anything. I won't hurt you."
"Yeah I know Eric."
"Okay well in that case do you want to go out to the
new cafe near the school?"
"Eric I-"
"It's not a date, just to get to know you better.
Plus, I promise I won't try anything" I sighed and
gave in.
"Fine." He smiled brightly and his dark eyes
sparkled. I realized if Tyler found out he would be upset
but ignoring Eric isn't doing anything. Besides, it
wasn't like Eric was going to try anything right?
He promised.
Eric's Point Of
View:
I knew Payton was too nice to ignore me forever. Tyler was
lucky to have her, he always had the perfect girlfriends.
This time he won't. He may have Payton for now, but he
won't have her forever. Not if I have anything to do
with it.
Payton's Point Of
View:
"Just let me go tell Tyler okay? He's going to
worry if I don't show up for lunch."
"But won't he get upset if he finds out?"
"I trust him and he should trust me. I can't keep
anything from him, I love him to much to lie." He
rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Fine."
"I'll be right back." I walked into the
cafeteria and scanned the crowd, looking at my usual table
I spotted Abby and Tyler then walked towards them.
"Hey Payton!"
"Hi Abby!" She stood up and raced over to me then
hugged me tightly. Abby was always so energetic I just
loved her. Whenever I needed a pick me up, she was there to
cheer me up. We became inseperable and whenever I
wasn't with Tyler, I was with her. Although most of the
time I tried to be with them both. I pulled away from the
hug and looked at Tyler who flashed me one of his dazziling
smiles.
"Hey beautiful." I blushed and looked at the
floor. Even after being with Tyler for a while,
everytime he talked I felt heat fill my body. I still
wasn't used to it and I was glad. I enjoyed the
sensation I got whenever I was around him.
"Hi Tyler." He pulled me onto his lap and kissed
me passionatly making me smile.
"Can we talk for a minute?" His smile dropped
into a frown, breaking his perfect features.
"You don't want to break up do you? Did I do
something wrong?"
"No of course not Ty." He smiled again and stood
up while taking my hand.
"Okay so what did you want to talk about?" We had
left the cafeteria and now we stood in the library near my
locker, where Eric was waiting.
"Eric wanted me to have lunch with him at that new
cafe up the block. Not as a date or anything, just to
talk." His smile formed a thin line and his brown eyes
grew cold.
"Tyler?"
"You weren't actually considering going were
you?"
