chapter nine

 The curtains around my bed slowly slid open, and i was soon staring into the deepset eyes of my father.
"Vannessa.." his hoarse voice cut right through me like knives.
I felt so weak infront of him, and I knew he would be dissapointed about how irresponsible I had been.
"I'm so glad your okay."
He sat cautiously on the edge of the bed.
I tried to find the right words to say to him, but they didn't come.
I couldn't believe i had crashed the car. He probably couldn't either.
 I layed back down on the pillow and let my eyes slide shut.
The bed felt hard and lumpy underneath my back, and my headache pounded in the back of my head.
My dad let out a long sigh and slipped silently out of my room.
The next thing i remembered was being stuck with needles and taking pain killers from the doctors and nurses.
I intently watched the brunette nurse attempting to flirt
with one of the doctors.
My breathe caught in my throat as I realized I hadn't thought about Greyson since the night before.
"Excuse me? Hello?" I struggled to get someones attention
but no one was paying the least bit of attention to me.
I felt the hotness flowing into my cheeks as the anger
flared up inside of me.
I waited what seemed like forever untill everyone left me alone.
I shuffled towards the door, and reached for the doorknob.
Just as I was about to twist it open, my knees buckled and I fell to the cold tile floor.
I could feel every muscle in my body twitching and beads of sweat began to roll down my forehead.
I craned my neck towards the door to see if i could get help from anyone.
Just in time, a red headed nursed strolled by the doorway.
"emergency! I need some backup in here!" she screeched down the hallway at other nurses
My legs began to feel numb and I realized the people around my had turned into nothing but a blur.
The last thing that came to my mind before everything went black was him.
