Forever
Chapter 1

       "Baby, I know that you've been waiting patiently for a man to give you all that you need and love you like he should. Stickin' to your guns lookin' for the right one just somebody who treats you good. It took me a while but I got here as fast as I could." slowly sang Josh Turner's voice over the radio as Riley and I mouthed all the words. The song was "As Fast As I Could" by Josh Turner. Riley memorized the whole thing just for me, because it's my favorite song. Sweet, right? No, Riley and I aren't dating. He's my best friend, and he has been ever since him and my brother used to hang out.

        I heard a vibration on the edge of my bed, and I looked to see what it was. It was Riley's phone, and he picked it up and slid it open.

       "Who is it?!" I nosingly asked.

       "Felicia! She said she wants to meet me by the waterfront in Hallowell at 5:30. I'm gonna head out, alrighty? Bye shnook!" he said and squeezed me. Then he was gone. I guess standing me up for some girl he likes is cool, too. I decided that I would go for a run, so I went down to the basement and jumped on the treadmill.

        I wiped a few beads of sweat off my forehead and checked my phone. 12 unread messages? Wow. Five were from facebook, two were my mom asking what I wanted for dinner, and the other five were from Riley. He seemed desperate, and most of them were illegible because it was all gibberish. Was he okay? I decided that I would go over to his house.

      "Hi Mrs. Patterstein, where's Riley?" I questioned his sickly skinny mother.

      "I don't know, Sandy. I'm sorry, I thought he was at your house." she worridly replied.

      "Oh I forgot, sorry to bother you!" I blurted out and rushed to the waterfront.
