Whispers
in the Dark
Chapter
12
After
taking me out to eat, Zachariah drove me home. He walked me to the
door, and then without a word, he left. I walked up to my room and
fell into bed, fully dressed. I dreamt that night. I dreamt about
Zachariah. And the life I could have if we continued to hang
out.
Zachariah’s Point of
View
“You told her didn’t you?”
Kirsten was perched on my bed when I came out of the
bathroom.
“You know this
how?”
“The vision
changed.”
“What now?”
“Be
safe bro. Be safe.”
“What are you mumbling about this time?” She
didn’t answer, because she had already left my room, closing
the door softly behind her. I can never understand
her.
Kirsten’s Point of
View
The
vision hit me like a rock, for the third time. One minute I was
cleaning my room, and the next I was watching my brother’s
future. They’re running through the forest. Zachariah and
Dasha. They seem to be chasing something. I get a close up of
Dasha. Her once dark brown eyes are now a pale green. They are
ringed in black. The mountain lion jumps out at her, and she takes
it down, her mouth tight against its jugular. Zachariah stands
behind her, off to the side. She stands, and returns to his side.
He wipes the blood off of her mouth, and then kisses
her.
